Frequently Asked Questions

How does DriveSense see through fog?

Unlike standard cameras, our system uses a high-powered 905nm pulsed laser[cite: 72, 136]. These light pulses penetrate moisture particles in fog and rain, reflecting off solid obstacles to provide a clear distance reading when human eyes fail[cite: 6, 128, 137].

What is the effective range of the V.1?

The DriveSense V.1 is engineered for a 400m scanning range[cite: 66, 78, 130]. We also offer modular upgrades for 1000m and 1500m for industrial and fleet applications[cite: 228, 237].

How long does the battery last?

The Scanner unit features a massive 9000mAh power supply for extended field use[cite: 84, 115]. The portable Remote Receiver is equipped with a 5000mAh Li-ion battery for independent portability[cite: 97, 115].

Is the device weather-resistant?

Yes. The units are encased in a ruggedized carbon fiber composite[cite: 76, 88]. To maintain the 400m accuracy, ensure the protective housing is fully closed and the polycarbonate lenses are kept clean[cite: 114, 119, 120].
